Rural Health Hub is operated by Troy Medical. The platform grew out of Troy Medical's years of hands-on experience deploying specialty programs in rural Texas, where the team learned that rural healthcare most often fails from a lack of operational support, not a lack of technology.

Is Rural Health Hub a telehealth company?

No. Telehealth is one of the mechanisms we use to deliver care, but it is not the business we are in. We don't compete with companies like Teladoc. Our business is building the infrastructure that lets rural communities add real, sustainable specialty service lines — telehealth is a delivery channel, not the product.

Visits happen in in-clinic suites with the equipment Rural Health Hub helps install. We work with your existing IT footprint rather than asking you to rebuild it.

No. Visits happen in the rural clinic the patient already uses. The patient walks in, is taken to an in-clinic suite, and is connected with the specialist from there. No app download, no email address, no home internet required.

As far as they already travel for primary care. The whole model is built around eliminating the 100+ mile trips that rural patients often take to reach a specialist. Care happens at the local clinic.

Yes. Each provider's scheduling profile sets independent durations for new-patient and follow-up visits. The booking tool surfaces each visit type on the correct grid so clinic staff can only book times that fit the provider's schedule.

How does availability work on the platform?

Providers set weekly availability templates on a rotating four-week cycle — supporting every-week, every-other-week, and custom 2-on / 2-off patterns. The platform expands those templates into concrete dates and shows rural clinic staff exactly when each provider is bookable.

The platform uses distinct roles — super admin, clinic admin, clinic staff, provider group admin, provider group staff, and provider — each with a dedicated portal and scoped permissions. A clinic admin can't see another clinic's bookings, and a provider group can't see bookings outside its assigned clinics.
